i ended up loading it and before i knew it i was bombarded with four different viruses and numerous popups. that night i found a setup for this program called registry patrol v3. i was going through all the files on my comp the same day i posted this message. but im afraid while i was trying to figure it out by myself i did some real damage. its a bit of an unusual problem can someone help me out? thankyou wut do i do to get it back? it works fine, but i wont rest till the thing starts to appear again. i got it back today and put it in but the volume control is still not showing up on screen. but i think it happened after my dad suddenly pulled out the battery last week and my laptop suddenly shut off because he pulled out the charger as well. its really frustrating to see something that was perfectly fine annoy me with something so tiny as a visual setback. now it is one week later and i restarted my computer and the blue bar is still not coming. i thought all i had to do was restart my computer and put it aside. i could tell the volume was going up and down but the bar wasn't showing up. about a week ago the same thing happened. one time the little white box that appears in the middle of the screen with the blue bar that react to the media control buttons didnt show so i restarted my computer and it was fine. my media control buttons always worked perfectly. I have had my dell 1705 for about two years now.
